Hi.. I have a problem with my head unit that I've had for about a year.

Whenever I drive and the car is in "D" , roughly every 3 minutes the reverse camera comes on for a few seconds, then disappears... it has only started to happen recently.

I'd like to disable the reverse camera all together and I cannot do it in settings.

I am not sure which wire to cut and it is not marked on the wiring loom.

Below is the picture of the wire diagram from the back of the unit.

Any idea which wire corresponds to reverse?

Many thanks for advice.

Filip

I am having thoughts again and I am not sure whether it might be related to the camera at all...

Yes the camera image comes on but it happens every 3 minutes while I drive for 5 seconds then goes away... Maybe a firmware update or something would sort the issue out?

Hi,

please first cut off the reverse control wire marked "reverse" that connect to the CANbus to see if this issue still exist, if the problem still exist, then it might be CANbus issue, please connect this wire to the reverse camera, please see the below wiring -

Hello, thank you very much for response.
The problem is that there isn't a wire marked "reverse" so I don't know which one to cut...
Any ideas please?
Thank you.

Thank you very much.

I thought it might be this wire yesterday - but wasn't sure.

I have now cut the wire and insulated it, and drove for about 2 hours.

The problem hasn't reappeared.

Perfect, thank you for help.
